Havi had already grown out of the bike she got for her 4th birthday, so we started the hunt for a cool new one. No Princesses, Hello Kitty's or other over the top girly themes... and something that will grow with her.
Then I found it... sparkling on Craigslist for a fraction of it's retail price.
Cool beyond cool.
Black with pink and silver flames... old style cruiser. Totally Austin, totally Havi.
We've been taking it for a spin around the block each evening and she's getting the hang of being on a bigger bike. She likes the plush comfy seat ("It doesn't hurt my butt Mum.") and the coaster brakes.
Havi's face in this photo is brilliant... the bike wobbled from one training wheel to another as I took the picture. I think it will be a while before we're riding without the training wheels :-)
And bonus... we sold her old bike for the same amount that we bought this one!
