Rock Out!

Havi asked me a few days ago "What comes after train in vain?" - I looked at her blankly. Finally she remembered, "It's The Clash Mum, Train in Vain by The Clash".

Ahhhh....

Countdown Crazy!

We've got another set of countdowns on the loose...

31 days until "Kinder Round Up" - yup, it's almost time to register Havi for Kindergarten!

56 days until "The Wedding" - Havi is SO excited to be going to a friends wedding, she's is so giddy.

91 days until DISNEY!

100 days until Havi's 5th Birthday!!!!! Which means it's 9 days until Havi is officially 4.75 years old, and you know how important that is to a 4.75 year old!

Valentines Weekend

Havi's school was full of red, pink and hearts for Valentines week. All the kids had written what love means to them, here was Havi's.

On the Sunday before Valentine's Day we went to our usual restaurant for our 5th annual Valentine's Dinner :-)

Speaking of love, a fun Havi conversation...

Me: Havi, your socks don't really match your dress.

Havi: It doesn't really matter, all that matters is love.

Me: Well I can't beat that can I?

Havi: Not really.

Fun with friends...

Our weekends have been jam packed for the last month or so, we've had play dates, half sleep overs and birthday parties.

A few weeks ago we met Morgan at Book People to see a puppet show. It turned out to be a Cuban folktale - Martina the Beautiful Cockroach. Morgan and Havi sat in the audience while Sarah and I stood to the side... the look on Havi's face when the story teller told them it was a Cuban story, then Havana was mentioned in the first paragraph, was classic.

After the puppet show we walked over to Amy's Ice Cream for a treat, then back to the bookstore for some more reading.

Havi was also excited to have a cuddle of Morgan's baby brother Ethan :-)

That same weekend Taylor and family came over for dinner... it got late and the girls got sleepy, so we 'sent them off to bed'. After a lot of giggling it became very quiet in there....

The following weekend Havi had a birthday party... a bowling birthday party. A little bit tedious with twenty 4 and 5 year olds, but everyone had fun.

Fun!

Wheels on our feet!

After Peter and I went to a roller skating birthday party earlier in the year, we thought it would be fun to take Havi roller skating.

We met Morgan and family at the rink and the girls has so much fun. They both did really well, after a few minutes holding on for dear life, Havi decided to give it a go herself. It was slow going but for the most part she stayed upright!

Chopsticks

We love a little bit of sushi and Havi loves to get rice and edamame. The restaurant we go to makes some kid friendly chopsticks for Havi which makes it a little easier and a little less messy!

Edamame still gets squeezed out of it's pod across the table though. No fix for that!

Blink and it will change...

The weather in Texas that is! Over the last month we've had rain while it's 70 degree's, snow, ice and sunny 75 degree days.

There is nothing better than puddles after a rainy day....

Snow angels and trails in the one inch (and one day) of snow.... while enjoying the snow day from work and school.
