Daddy Day's

Havi has been lucky enough to have Daddy Day's from the time I went back to work when she was 12 weeks old. Apart from a few months when I stayed home with her, she's had her Tuesdays and Thursdays spending time with Daddy.

Over the years they've been on so many little adventures together and I've loved hearing about them when I got home from work. Everything from trips to the park in her luxury bike trailer, trying out every inflatable place north of the river, gymnastics classes and swim classes, to catching a movie or a frozen yogurt treat. I know Havi is going to have very fond memories of these days...

Today was their last official Daddy Day. It's a week of lasts ahead of next weeks week of firsts.

They started the morning off with a swim lesson, then had lunch together at Phil's Ice House - which of course MUST be followed by Amy's Ice Cream!

Then they came home for some Mum-Unapproved Sponge Bob Square Pants viewing and a teddy bears tea party!

The later headed back out for gymnastics before meeting me at her school to meet her new Kindergarten teacher.

The day was not complete without some stories before bed. Normal voice or silly voice?

I know Peter will miss these days as much as Havi will... now they'll just have to get up to mischief on the their Daddy Afternoons each day after school :-)

Last day of Pre-K

Havi's last day of Pre-K was today. Last night she was pretty emotional and was getting upset over little things, which is not at all like Havi. Although she didn't say it, I put it down to her thinking about today being her last day.

Moving to Abacus was the best decision we ever made. The daycare she was at just wasn't cutting it... Abacus was a preschool, Stepping Stones was a daycare that claimed to be a preschool. Havi learned more in her first month at Abacus than she had in the previous nine months at Stepping Stones. Best. Move. Ever.

Although we're all very excited about Kindergarten, we will miss Abacus. We'll be back though - school holidays and the summer camps will see Havi skipping back there.

So today Havi said goodbye to her pre-k friends and Miss Morgan and Miss Keely with the promise she'll see them again soon.

Havi the builder part 2!

Since making her coaster set and tow truck, Havi's been back to Lowes and Home Depot to make a few more things.

She has so much fun at these workshops. So glad we found out about them.

Oh the mess they can make....

Yesterday Havi hosted a tea party/play date for the girls in her class - a little get together before they all go their separate ways in Kindergarten.

I didn't know six five year old girls could be so noisy and so messy! But they had so much fun...

Snacking on bundtinis (pretty sure it was after this the sugar high madness started).

The finished mess!

I hope we'll get to stay in touch with Sarah, Taylor, Natalie, Varsha and Samantha - or at least see them at Abacus in the summer when school's out. The Frogs class was overrun by boys so the girls got pretty close it seemed.

Anyone want to help us clean up?

Fun at Taylor's Grandparents!

A couple of weeks ago Havi's friend Taylor's Grandparents invited us out to their house for BBQ and to swim.

The girls had a lovely evening swimming, playing and picking veggies from their garden.

Kinder Camp and School Supplies!

Photobucket

One more week and Havi will be starting Kindergarten... she is very excited and we've all had fun getting ready to start school.

A couple of weeks ago we all attended Kinder Camp - Peter and I too find out everything we need to know about her new school and Havi got to go off and meet the teachers and the rest of the Kindergartners.

The following weekend we went to buy all her school supplies and choose a new back pack - trying to find one that wasn't bigger than her!

We had a little break from shopping to read....

Then got back to the serious bizniz of school supplies!
