Grandma needs 'eye glasses'

Havi was playing with her fuzzy felt this morning and made this face below...

...the conversation that followed...

Havi: This is Grandma.

Me: Oh really, I like her glasses.

Havi: They're eye glasses, she needs them when she's reading.

Me: Just when she's reading?

Havi: Yes, just when she's reading. I don't need eye glasses do I?

Me: No, you have great eye sight.

Havi: Yeah, like a T-rex!

Me: Yes, just like a T-rex.

Havi then proceeded to walk around the house like a T-rex (with good eye sight) and growling!!

Havi's Britishism's

Every now and again Havi can be VERY British - the strange thing is it's often a posh Southern accent! I can only blame that on Natasha from Story Nory (check them out HERE... we LOVE them)

Havi's latest Britishism's include the words 'indeed' and 'quite'.

Me: "Havi, it's time to put on your shoes to go to school"

Havi: "Indeed Mummy."

OK would suffice... but 'indeed' is very cute!

Me: "It's cold, you need your jacket on please."

Havi: "It is quite cold, sometimes it's quite warm, but today it's quite cold."

Indeed.

Trip to Houston

Photobucket

Last weekend we took a quick trip to Houston to see Bea and Peter's parents.

The drive in one day is a pain (especially in the rain) but it was nice to see everyone.

Havi managed to get Peter's parents running around their garden and doing everything she requested within about five minutes of arriving :-)

Racing with Granddad - he didn't quite get that sometimes you need to let the three year old win :-)

Counting with Grandma

Two hours into the trip home... and finally, she fell asleep :-)

It was an interesting trip...

Approx 120 days until we fly to England... we'll be booking flights soon!

Taylor's Swim Party

It was Taylor's 4th Birthday last week and she had a swim party. I'll be honest, at first I wasn't sure how that would work with a bunch of 3 and 4 year old's, with the majority of them not being able to swim.

It ended up being so much fun. Havi voted me into the water (I'd taken my swimming stuff just in case) and all the kids climbed into rubber rings. We played trains (all hanging onto each others rings), catch with a rubber duck, endless goes on the slide.

Once they were all sufficiently tired out, they got dressed and had snacks and cup cakes. A lot of fun was had by all.

Attempted Photo Shoot!

So I thought I'd attempt a mini photo shoot with Moo and Havi in the back garden while she was dressed up so pretty. It was pretty much a disaster.

Moo started nibbling on an itch - so naturally Havi did too! The Havi (not Moo) started wondering around with some sticks. The her face became very expressive while she told me stories about fairies.

Here are a few that turned out OK :-) The others are just funny!
