Microphone

What do you get when you visit the office to pic something up on a Saturday morning, you have Havi in tow and the microphone is set up in the edit bay...

New Ballet School

Havi started a new ballet school last week. She loves to dance and was ready for the 'big girl' classes.

She had a great time at her first class, her teacher Miss Trish has been teaching dance for 50+ years since she was 12 years old. She has the strongest Texas accent I've ever heard and the kids just love her.

Here's Havi right before the first class...

And a sneaky pic through the window while they were tap dancing.

I'm excited to see Havi's new dance moves!

Pirate Havi!

So a couple of weeks ago I went out with Rebecca to see a movie. Before the movie started a got a few picture texts... this is what happens when Daddy and Havi have silly time before bed!

Officially a Pre-Kindergartner!

Although Havi has technically been in Pre-K since she started her new (and still completely awesome) school in June, the new school year officially started a couple of weeks ago. As her school follows the RRISD curriculum to make sure all the students are ready for Kindergarten her classes changed a little.

First we were sad to see some faces go - a few of Havi's friends started Kindergarten. Then we had a whole new set of faces... all boys! The dynamics in the Frogs class has really changed now it's boy heavy instead of girl heavy - but everyone seems to be getting along well and Havi speaks fondly of her new friends.

Havi's friend Morgan from her old school also moved to the new school a month or so ago. They're not in the same class as Little Miss Morgan is not four until November, but they see each other through windows as often as they can :-)

As for all the fun stuff she's learning - she can count to 39 by herself (sometimes 60), is sounding out words really well and knows quite a few sight words. She writes her numbers perfectly up to 10 and is doing great with writing her lower case letters. She also starts up random conversations about the South Pole, volcano's and other fun stuff!

We love this school almost as much as Havi :-)

Countdown Madness!

So the countdowns are back! A few things to look forward to....

15 days until we go see (and take a train ride on) Thomas the Tank Engine

37 days until we got to ENGLAND

99 days until Christmas (I had to throw that one in there!)

247 days until we go to Disney World with Grandma, Granddad and Auntie Dan!!!

And Havi is completely unaware of two out of four of those things! :-)

As for England - she has her own countdown chart on the wall outside her bedroom!
