Officially a Pre-Kindergartner!

Although Havi has technically been in Pre-K since she started her new (and still completely awesome) school in June, the new school year officially started a couple of weeks ago. As her school follows the RRISD curriculum to make sure all the students are ready for Kindergarten her classes changed a little.

First we were sad to see some faces go - a few of Havi's friends started Kindergarten. Then we had a whole new set of faces... all boys! The dynamics in the Frogs class has really changed now it's boy heavy instead of girl heavy - but everyone seems to be getting along well and Havi speaks fondly of her new friends.

Havi's friend Morgan from her old school also moved to the new school a month or so ago. They're not in the same class as Little Miss Morgan is not four until November, but they see each other through windows as often as they can :-)

As for all the fun stuff she's learning - she can count to 39 by herself (sometimes 60), is sounding out words really well and knows quite a few sight words. She writes her numbers perfectly up to 10 and is doing great with writing her lower case letters. She also starts up random conversations about the South Pole, volcano's and other fun stuff!

We love this school almost as much as Havi :-)
