11 days until we register Havi for Kindergarten at the "Kinder Round Up"

36 days until Havi gets to see a 'real' wedding

71 days until DISNEY!

and

78 days until our sweet baby girls is 5 years old!!!

Secret Ear Infection

Havi still doesn't have many symptoms when she has an ear infection. We have to pick up on the tiny clues she gives. Last week Havi woke up in the middle of the night and said her ear hurt - by the next morning, nothing!

The next day I picked her up from school and she was out playing at the end of the day, she said she was fine, but her ear hurt a little. Does she look sick? Nope...

But... on the way home I took her to the Minute Clinic - sure enough - ear infection on both ears! I'd say she must have a high pain tolerance, but the fuss she has when getting a tiny scratch or bruise makes me think maybe not!

A couple of days on antibiotics and a follow up trip to her doctors and all is good...

A Lesson About Naughty Words...

A conversation around the dinner table...

Peter: So Havi has been saying crap a lot this afternoon.

Me: You do know that's a bad word right Havi?

Havi: What word?

Me: Crap.

Havi: But you just said crap.

Peter: Oh crap.

Havi: And Daddy said crap, which made me say crap, and Mummy said crap so I said crap again (She was seriously trying to hold back the giggles at this point)

Me: Are you just trying to see how many times you can say crap?

Havi: You said crap again and made me say crap again! (Not holding back the giggles any more)

Peter: Do you know what crap means?

Havi: Poop.

Me: If you're ever not sure if a word is good or bad you can ask us okay?

Havi: You mean like crap?

Father Daughter Dance

A couple of weekends ago Havi proudly took Peter to the Father Daughter Dance hosted by her ballet school. She was so excited to go and they looked adorable when they set off together.

We made a big deal of getting ready, picking out her dress, straightening her hair and painting her nails (pink, yellow, pink, yellow).

Then they were all ready to go... they both scrub up so nice!

Throughout the night Peter text a couple of pictures over...

Kind of jealous I didn't get to go! :-)
