So we left off HERE over on Cubrit.com; Granddad had just been to visit, Ian had turned three, Little Gym was in full force and Halloween had been a huge success.
A few days later we set off to England. Each year we've seen Havi's excitement get bigger and bigger, this year, she was counting down the days. When Rebecca got to the house at some ungodly hour to take us to the airport, Havi was literally bouncing off the walls. As usual she did perfectly on the trip over, we even managed to get her to sleep for most of the second flight, so we reached England ready to go.
We stopped off in Mirfield on the way to Leeds to see the cousins... Havi had been talking about Rosie, Oliver and Baby Daniel non-stop. We stayed and played for a little while before making our way to Leeds to have a big nap and catch up before heading off to the pub that night.
During our stay we visited with all the family, had a great birthday party for Grandma, ate copious amounts of fish and chips and curry and generally had a great time, that once again passed too quickly.
Back to reality in December and the countdown to Christmas was on. The Santa bribery was in full force this year as Havi REALLY understood the whole concept. Santa was on speed dial, but luckily we didn't need to 'threaten' her with a phone call too often. We did attempt to go visit Santa, but after she watched 75% of the children who sat on his knee cry, she wasn't going anywhere near him. That resulted in this picture which I LOVE.
Havi sent off her letter to Santa requesting the "Belle Movie" (AKA
More Christmassy fun right HERE! and I'm going to guess the swing set was a big success... wait until she see's the other 'double' swing we plan to add!
For New Years Eve we went to The Bates' for dinner and to attempt to stay awake until midnight! Havi and Ian went to sleep at about 9.30pm, looking so cute snuggled up in his Star Wars room (Havi told us the next day that the Star Wars posters were scary although she didn't seem to mind as Ian and her chatted up a storm before falling asleep!) and she barely woke up for the drive home.
After a quiet and relaxing first weekend of 2010, tomorrow we're back in full swing. Ballet class at school in the morning, a trip to the dentist on Tuesday, catch up Little Gym class on Thursday then our usual Little Gym Saturday's begin again next weekend. It's going to be a fun week.
May the pliƩ be with you in 2010!
One more piece of info to end the post... Havi will have a new cousin to meet in June 2010. Congratulations to Auntie Sarah, Uncle Mike and Baby Daniel, we can't wait to meet your new little one.
