Me: "Havi, please stop touching your bum, you'll get pink eye."
Havi: "You need to stop being mean or you'll get rainbow eye."
Me: "Really?"
Havi: "Yeah, can I pick your nose?"
Me: "No you cannot, you'll get green eye."

A conversation with Havi after I called Peter... well Peter!
Havi: "Mum, why do you call him Peter when you're married?"
Me: "What should I call him?"
Havi: "Babe."
I have to admit, 9 times out of 10 that's what I call him and he calls me.... she's right!!

They're ramping up for Halloween at school. Her class were drawing 'monster' pictures for a big project going up on the wall in the hallway. Havi explained a friends picture to me.
Havi: "Grant drew a vampire. Mum, what is a vampire?"
Me: "Well, a vampire is a monster that looks human."
Havi: "Why do they look like humans if they're monsters?"
Me: "Well, it's their disguise, so no-one knows they're monsters."
Havi: "So why are they monsters if no-one knows?"
Me: "Good question, I have no answer for you. They are make-believe though."
I really didn't want to start the whole 'sucking blood' conversation.
Havi: "Oh, okay"
