Havi-ism's

Funny things Havi has said lately...

Daddy: "What the....."

Havi: "What the heck Daddy?"

***

Havi: "I found $69"

Mummy: "You did? Where is it?"

Havi: "I put it in the trash!"

***

Mummy: "Comprende?"

Havi: "Mummy, we are Spanish aren't we. Well, Mummy, you try to be Spanish don't you?"

Mummy: "Erm, OK!"

Havi: "Aguacate (said with a heavy Spanish accent) is Spanish for avocado."

Mummy: "Right, thanks for that."

***

Finally - ... this was when I asked Havi to describe someone she knows...

Mummy: "So Havi, what does XYZ look like?"

Havi: "She's fat, she eats all the time, all day long and is greedy."

Mummy and Daddy laughing uncontrollably while trying to hide the fact that we're laughing as Havi continues while gesticulating wildly to emphasize the hugeness of it all...

Havi: "She eats and eats ALL DAY LONG. She's so greedy and so fat."

Back on track after the holidays...

Every thing is back in full swing again after the holidays. Ballet class on Monday's again, Tuesday and Thursday "Daddy Day's" and Little Gym on Saturday mornings followed by story time at Barnes and Nobles and silly weekend fun.

Here's Havi looking chic and moody at B&N this weekend!

We had a couple of Little Gym classes this week, and they're all preparing for the end of semester 'show' in a couple of weeks. Havi is doing so well. She loves the bar and with help can do two backward rolls then one forward roll before dismounting. She's also become really confident on the beam lately but needs to stop sticking her tongue out to concentrate... there is an accident waiting to happen!

On Saturday night we had a yummy spaghetti dinner at Auntie Brooke's and caught up with Ely and Ben who we hadn't seen in ages. Ely is 11 and I'm sure he'll be taller than me in about a month! Havi watching the dynamics of the boys playing was pretty funny. It was late when we left and we thought Havi would fall asleep in the car... instead she talked about the one lonely star in the sky and how he needed some friends!

Now it's back to Monday again...

Doctors and Dentists!

A month ago Havi had strep throat and a double ear infection at the same time. As per usual she showed us no signs... and a tickly cough tipped us off. Dr. Reidy likes to see her a month after to check all is cleared up - it wasn't! Once again it's ear infection time! I just wish she'd tell us... you hear that Havi?

Good tip from the pharmacist. Lollipops have the same ingredients as childrens cough "medicine" (which actually has no medication in it at all). They're much more fun and blue teeth are cool!

So while she has all the sugar coating her teeth... I'll tell you about Havi's second ever dentist visit. The waiting room had so many toys Havi didn't want to leave! She was really brave and even let them take x-rays with no fuss. We got to see her adult teeth on the x-rays as well as learning she has a cross bite! Fun stuff to 'fix' when she's older.

The dentist did say that her teeth were in really good shape and very clean ;-) For the girl that loves to floss, that's good news.
