Three Days!

The biggest surprise ever happens in three days and we're so excited. Havi is still completely oblivious to the fact that Grandma, Granddad AND Auntie Dan are coming over for Christmas. Keeping a secret from a 4.5 year old is actually harder than we thought... we've all almost slipped up at one time or another.

Havi is going to flip!

They get here late on Sunday night after Havi is in bed, the plan is to surprise her the next morning. We've been getting her excited by telling her there is an extra special something behind the 20th door on her advent calendar. That 20th door will just happen to be the guest bedroom door, and they will just happen to be sat waiting for her on the other side.

I'll have the video camera ready!

Santa's visit to school!

Havi was excited to see Santa and thankfully she asked him for the same things she's been telling us she would like... he was a pretty authentic looking Santa!

Love how her hand is on his belly :-)

Rocker Chick!

Havi's favourite things to say at the moment include....

"Oh My Gosh"

"Oh, man" ('man' has about 14 syllables)

"What the heck?"

Miss Erin and Miss Rachel have also told us about the funny things she decides to discuss at school - these range from Fidel Castro (the mean man in Cuba) to MacDonald's ("That's yucky food and it's not good for you") to Daddy getting hurt (falling trees, stingray attacks and dog bites!)

She's a character!

Another Birthday Party.... and a little boyfriend!

This past few weeks have had more birthday parties than the summer... this weekend Havi went to Isaiah's and Mateo's birthday at Pump it Up. It was a great party, with lots of jumping and running and total madness.

I was also able to finally properly meet Havi's little boyfriend Carlo. I've heard a lot about the little classroom romance going on with Carlo the little Cuban boy in her class, but this was the first time I'd seen it for myself! They were inseparable... chasing each other around and then later sitting together for cake and drinks. Very cute, and he's a sweet little guy. Mummy and Daddy approve :-)

This post is one of those that goes along with the naked baby photos... to be brought out to embarrass when needed :-)

Tis the season...

With Thanksgiving over we jumped straight into Christmas! We upgraded our tiny tree for a 7ft tree with new decorations in anticipation for our Christmas guests (Havi is still completely unaware).

Havi and I had a great time decorating the tree and stopping mid way to play with the box of course!

Thanksgiving...

We decided to have a nice quiet day together for Thanksgiving... no cooking... just fun. In the morning we hung around the house being lazy, then set off to go see Tangled. It was a really sweet movie - Havi loved it and I'm sure she'll take Grandma and Auntie Dan to see it when they're here... hopefully she'll invite me again too :-)

On the way home we stopped off at Kerbey Lane and let them cook a turkey dinner for us!

The following Saturday we went downtown to watch the Chuy's Thanksgiving Parade. Havi loved seeing all the balloon's, Disney Princesses, Star Wars characters and of course Santa!
