Havi Loves Books!

We've read to Havi since the day she came home from the hospital... and as soon as she was able to look at the books with us we'd read at least two books before bed each night. I don't know if it's because of this, but she LOVES books and is so excited about reading.

She went through a phase where she could do it, she just wouldn't. I don't think she was confident to try, scared to make a mistake, no matter how much we told her it didn't matter if she got it wrong.

Anyway - once she got over that she has been doing great with sounding out her words and her sight words. When she gets home from school she reads two books for Peter every day. Which means we have sailed through the the Bob Books (which we love) aimed at Kindergarten so I ordered her the First Grades books this week.

She picked the first two up tonight and read them pretty much flawlessly.
