Surgery - not so fun!

Proud of this little pumpkin today after doing so well with dental surgery this morning. Her lower gums had receded on the front two teeth, almost down to showing the root of one of her teeth. The surgery took some gum from the roof of her mouth, and grafted it to the gum line that was receding.

She's home now with a mouth full of stitches and finally feeling a bit better after the pain medication kicked in and she was able to nap. Now for a few days of laziness, cuddles and lots of ice cream, jelly and mashed potatoes!

Halloween Fun

We had a fun Halloween packed with friends, trick or treating with Katelyn, Emery, Michelle, Jennifer, Roselyn and Taylor - then heading off to a party at Roxanne's.

Proud Parents - 4th Grade A Honor Roll

Havana's in the paper for All "A" Honor Roll for the 1st nine weeks of 4th Grade. Proud of our little one, hard work pays off :-)

Piano Duet

I didn't quite catch all of Havana's song at her recital this weekend because she jumped up there so eagerly! But... I did get her fun duet at practice last week. Baby Jay liked it.

Tennis, Tennis, Tennis!

Little bit of late night tennis practice!

Havana's almost finished her first set of tennis lessons and she's loving it. Peter and Havana have been having fun practicing at the high school too. Maybe this is her sport??

We have a NINE year old in the house!

Happy Birthday to our sweet, sweet girl. We can't believe nine years have passed since Havana came into our lives... it seems like just yesterday.

We couldn't be prouder of the lovely young lady she's becoming. Smart, funny, caring and thoughtful. We can't wait to see what her future brings... but slow down, we can wait really!

Hurricane? Tornado? Just lots of wind and rain?

So today was an interesting Memorial Day - we had the closet prepared for a tornado as storms passed by us, over us... all around us!

I think Havana and Ruffster quite liked it in there!

After the storms (or in between one and the next) we took the dogs for a walk and found earth worm crossings everywhere!
